YOUTH DEPARTMENT

A Far West USY Chapter of EXCELLENCE.

The Masor Youth Department, home of AAE Kadima and USY, provides a wide variety of social and educational programs for children in grades 3-12, in addition to the College Connection, an outreach program targeting the many graduates of our community who are attending college throughout the U.S. and globally.

The Far West Region encompasses Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, southern Nevada and Hawaii. Far West USY is affiliated with the Pacific Southwest Region of USCJ. Far West USY provides many social, educational and leadership opportunities for our USYers and Kadimaniks outside of their chapter events. Regional events bring together youth from the various chapters and states throughout the school year and even during the summer months. www.fwusy.net

Annual Kadima (Grades 3-5) or USY (Grades 6-12) dues are included in the tuition for ALL of our children enrolled in our Day School, JLC and Confirmation Programs.
Kadima and USY membership is open to any Jewish child in grades 3-12.

We bring Kadima and USY programming into our schools periodically during the year. The JLC enjoys 3-4 Kadima Days during the year, and the Day School students participate in a monthly Lunchtime Lounge. These are in addition to our regular schedule of programs, which are primarily on weekends. This year, we are excited to introduce “Teen Tuesdays” which are open to all teens in Grades 6-12. Teen Tuesdays feature a pizza dinner, group programming coordinated by our leaders, and Teen Choice electives. Teen Tuesdays are held this year on the last Tuesday of November and January-May.
Our overall programming structure is:

Kadima Grades 3-5
Jr USY Grades 6-8
Sr USY Grades 9-12

We provide regular programs and leadership development opportunities across all of our groups.
