What is a Bar/Bat Mitzvah and why are YOU celebrating in this way?
To be a Bar or Bat Mitzvah means acknowledging that this ancient, wise, dispersed
and diverse people are YOUR people. So how do we as Jews celebrate this? When
there is an important event in our lives, we mark this by being called to the Torah.
And this is the first time that YOU can join your voice with the many thousands of
Jews who are reading and sharing reflections on our Torah at the same exact moment
as you. Thereby, you will add your voice to that hum of Torah that encircles the world
every seven days.
All the materials you need to prepare you for your Bar/Bat Mitzvah will be given to you in three binders.
